Aligning the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard to Globally Harmonized System (GHS) - What it means to Safety and Regulatory Compliance Processes

When OSHA’s proposal to modify the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) to align with Globally Harmonized Standard (GHS) is promulgated, a significant number of organizations, especially those that manufacture and distribute chemicals, have to make modifications to the basic processes used to support Hazard Communication. These include changes to Hazard Classification, Labels, Generation and Distribution of Safety Data Sheets, and Training.

As with REACH, GHS adoption within the US is expected to place even more pressure on regulatory professionals and operations departments to reduce safety and non-compliance risks while improving operating efficiencies.
Our experience helping customers in the European Union adapt to the Classification, Labeling and Packaging (CLP) regulation indicates that companies face some common challenges around product reclassification and changes to labels and safety data sheets when adopting GHS.
During this web conference we will review:

  • common challenges industry’s face when adopting GHS
  • how the risk of non-compliance can be addressed using automation tools in EHSM
  • how OSHA’s proposed changes will be incorporated into TechniData’s CLEO offering

In addition, we will share enhancements that TechniData is incorporating into the CLEO regulatory content package to help SAP EHS Management customers reclassify products efficiently and to support GHS globally.

Register today! We look forward to seeing you at the web conference!
